The Sutra on the Merits of Bathing the Buddha states: “Noble son, the consequence of performing this bathing of the Buddha image is that you and the great multitude of men and gods will presently receive wealth, happiness, and long life without sickness; your every wish will be fulfilled. Your relatives, friends, and family will all be at ease. You will bid a long farewell to the eight conditions of trouble and forever escape the fount of suffering. You will never again receive the body of a woman and will quickly achieve enlightenment.
There are so many merits on bathing the Buddha. Which one do you wish for the most?
Everyone can collect a great amount of merits only by bathing the Buddha. You must look forward to practice such virtuous deed!

Today, I come to bath to all Buddhas
who embody purity, wisdom, dignity, and ocean of merits
May all sentient beings be rid of all impurities
And realize the pure dharma-body of the Tathagata

A single light in the darkness can warm up the world. While shelter-in-place, show and express our love and gratitude for moms and/or other people online. Let our hearts be touched!
